چکیده
Arterial thrombi and atherosclerotic lesions were analyzed immunochemically and examined histologically. The extent of in vivo proteolytic cleavage of the amino-terminal end of fibrinogen by thrombin and plasmin was determined and quantitated by specific radioimmunoassays. The samples were treated with cyanogen bromide (CNBr). and the total amount of fibrinogen and fibrin-derived protein was determined as NDSK. the NH2-terminal disulfide knot of fibrinogen. Thrombin-releasable fibrinopeptides A and B were used to quantitate fibrinogen and fibrin I. Previous plasmin cleavage of the B/I chain was inferred from the amount of B/I 1 -42 and Bill 5-42 in undigested NDSK. The results obtained in both acute and organized thrombi indicate that

متن کاملI-25: New Steps towards The Artificial Ovary
Background: In recent years, transplantation of cryopreserved ovarian tissue has proved to be a promising approach to restore fertility in cancer patients. However, such a procedure cannot be carried out in women at risk of ovarian involvement due to the threat of reintroducing malignant cells. The aim of this study was therefore to create an artificial ovary as an alternative to restore fertil...
متن کاملIdentification and distribution of fibrinogen, fibrin, and fibrin(ogen) degradation products in atherosclerosis. Use of monoclonal antibodies.
Samples of normal and atherosclerotic vessels obtained from vascular and cardiothoracic surgery were examined for the distribution of fibrinogen/fibrin I, fibrin II, and fibrin(ogen) degradation products (Fragment D/DD) by using recently characterized monoclonal antibodies that recognize and distinguish the three molecular forms (MAbs 18C6, T2G1, and GC4, respectively) with the ABC-immunoperoxi...
متن کاملComparison of PLGA/Fibrin and PLGA/Hyaluronic Acid Scaffolds for Chondrogenesis of Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cells
Background and Aims: Tissue engineering is a relatively novel field that has been intensely developing during recent years and has shown to be excessively promising when used for cartilage regeneration. Scaffolds represent important components for tissue engineering. Materials and Methods: The Poly Lactic-Co-Glycolic Acid (PLGA) impregnated with fibrin and hyaluronic acid (HA) produce hybrid s...
متن کاملDiscriminating neoantigenic differences between fibrinogen and fibrin derivatives.
Discrimination between the physiological cleavage fragments of fibrinogen and fibrin offers an approach to differentiation between fibrinogenolytic processes and fibrinolysis after coagulation. By use of the cleavage-associated neoantigen of fibrinogen (fg-D(neo)) as a molecular marker, characteristic differences between the D regions of fibrinogen derivatives and fibrin derivatives can be demo...
